New Hallway Policy

Starting March 23, Jefferson High will enforce hallway expectations during class time. Students who misuse hallway passes may be placed on a No-Fly List, meaning they lose hallway privileges during class.

These five non-negotiable rules ensure classrooms remain focused and students move safely through the building. 

Phones Stay in Class

All students must leave their mobile devices in the classroom during their break. 

One Student at a Time

Only one student per classroom may be out on a hallway pass at any given time. 

5-Minute Time Limite

Return to class within 5 minutes. Passes are for brief, necessary use only. 

Go Directly to Destination

Travel immediately to the nearest restroom or approved location without loitering. 

No Socializing

Do not coordinate passes with friends or meet others in the hallway. 

Consequences of Misuse

The 'No-Fly List'

Students who fail to follow expectations lose all hallway privileges during class time. 

Regaining Privileges

Students must show no tardies, no missing assignments, and a grade of C or higher. 

Security Escort

For legitimate emergencies while on the No-Fly List, security will accompany the student.
