Weld County School District 6 Nutrition Services Department is taking a proactive approach to offer healthier and fresher foods for the students in our community. Our home-cooked meals are prepared fresh daily utilizing whole, natural ingredients. Eliminating processed foods and replacing them with items made ‘from scratch’ has allowed the department to significantly reduce the amount of sodium, preservatives, and other artificial ingredients that are served to our students. In addition, the Nutrition Services Department continues to expand its Farm to School Program by purchasing fresh produce from local growers. This provides our students with the freshest fruits and vegetables possible, while also supporting the local community. If you ever have a question, concern, or want to give some general feedback, please contact us at schoolfood@greeleyschools.org or call the Nutrition Office at 970.348.6600 more information available here.
Nutrition Services aims to “Fuel the Future of Our Students” with healthy, nourishing foods that provide their bodies with the nutrients they need to grow, learn and succeed in the classroom! Thank you for allowing your student to dine with us. Here is some additional information about our program.
