Jose Serrano
My name is Jose Serrano, and I am a college and career counselor at Jefferson High School, where I proudly support the community that has been integral to my journey. Originally from El Salvador, I moved to the U.S. at the age of 10 and later attended Jefferson High School (formerly Trademark High) before earning my Sociology degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and my Counseling degree from Adams State University. Having lived in Greeley for many years, I am deeply invested in guiding students toward their career aspirations while giving back to the community that shaped me.
One of my greatest inspirations was a former teacher whose refusal to give me an A due to incomplete work taught me the value of hard work and the joy of achieving goals through perseverance. Today, my role involves helping students navigate their educational and career paths, drawing on my own experiences to support and inspire them in their own educational and career journeys..
