Second semester Intramurals will be a little different than before.  There are 3 changes that you need to know about:

 

1. 3rd graders will join 4th and 5th during after school Intramurals.

2. Intramurals will take place on Tuesday's and Wednesday's until 4:30.  Intramurals will no longer be offered on Thursday afternoons.

3. Students will sign up for Intramurals 1 unit at a time as they are announced.

 

There are several reasons for the changes.  First of all, 3rd graders weren't getting much participation on Friday mornings.  Hopefully allowing them to join 4th and 5th will encourage more participation.  Intramurals will not be offered on Thursday's any longer because I will need to be dedicating that afternoon to the techCLUB.  And finally, the reason students will sign up for one unit at a time as they are announced is because we have had several students forget what units they sign up for.  Each unit will be announced during our Friday podcasts by the techCLUB.  Once the announcement has been made for a new unit, then the students may go to the gym to sign up.  Only a certain amount of students will be allowed to attend, and that number will vary depending on the unit.  If a unit is announced that your student really wants to join, I would encourage them to sign up as soon as possible.
